About Arcane University

Arcane University is a free, independent workbench and library for people who want to buy a small business. It was built by Benjamin Foskey as part of his Workshop of personal projects.

What it is

• A workbench for modeling deals, screening listings, tracking a pipeline and working through due diligence.
• A library of guides, calculators and templates covering the stages of an acquisition.

What it is not

• It is not a broker, lender, marketplace or advisory firm. It does not sell listings or leads.
• It does not run automated marketplace scans or paid AI. Scout screens the listings you enter or import and offers an explicit public search for online businesses through Empire Flippers. The advisor asks rules-based questions.
• It is not legal, tax, lending or investment advice. Rules change, and every deal has facts a general guide cannot see.

How your data is handled

Your deals and notes are stored in your own browser unless you choose to sign in and sync. See Privacy.

The name

The name borrows the feel of an old mages' college: a place where obscure knowledge is written down, checked and passed on. Business acquisition has its own arcane vocabulary. The goal here is to make it ordinary.
