Privacy

The short version

Your deal records stay in your browser unless you explicitly choose a private cloud save or share an export. Private deal records are not sent to brokers or lenders or used for advertising. Optional public listing searches send only the search inputs you explicitly submit, as described below.

What is stored, and where

• Browser storage (default). Saved deals, notes, filters, calculator assumptions and diligence progress are stored in your browser's local storage on your device. Clearing your browser data deletes them. Export a backup first.
• Optional private cloud saves. If the hosted edition offers sign-in and you choose to use it, a copy of your workspace is stored privately for your account so you can open it on another device. Signed-out requests cannot read it.
• Calculators and diagnostic. The library's calculators and the buyer diagnostic run entirely in your browser. Their inputs are not sent anywhere.

What is not collected

No contact form, no newsletter signup, no advertising trackers, and no sale of personal information.

Hosting

The site is served by its hosting provider, which may keep standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) for security and reliability.

Offline access and shared devices

Public pages, fonts, scripts and styles may be saved in the browser's offline cache. Cloud API responses, sign-in pages, downloads and deal records are excluded from that cache. Private records remain in local storage unless you explicitly upload or export them. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to read local records; signing out of cloud access does not erase them.

Sharing and local preferences

The readiness score and date, suggested search criteria, guide dismissal and last backup-request time are saved on this device. Individual diagnostic answers are not stored. These preferences are separate from a workspace backup. Copying calculator results or printing a deal report includes the information shown, so review it before sending it to anyone.

The Journal RSS feed contains only public article information. There is no email subscriber database or automatic outreach sender in this edition.

Optional public listing search

Scout offers an on-demand search of online businesses through the official Empire Flippers API. Clicking Search or a results-page button sends your public search keywords and optional price cap directly to that provider. It also receives ordinary connection details, including your IP address. Saved records, diligence notes, diagnostic answers and saved Scout filters are not sent. Requests omit credentials and referrers. Results remain temporary unless you review and save a deal. They are excluded from Arcane's offline cache.
